Position Summary:

The Compliance Associate/Specialist will support the compliance function by ensuring the company adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Cleopatra (or similar compliance platforms) and will be familiar with EMI and FinTech regulatory frameworks, including AML/KYC, risk assessments, and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, review, and ensure compliance with all applicable local and international regulations relevant to EMI and FinTech operations.
  • Perform AML/KYC checks, transaction monitoring, and periodic risk assessments.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of internal policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
  • Utilize Cleopatra (or similar GRC tools) to manage compliance records, reporting, and issue tracking.
  • Assist in preparing reports for regulators, internal audit, and senior management.
  • Conduct compliance training and awareness sessions for employees.
  • Track regulatory changes and ensure the organization adapts appropriately.
  • Support investigations and remediation for any compliance breaches or irregularities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory operations, preferably in EMI, FinTech, or banking.
  • Hands-on experience with Cleopatra platform or other compliance management tools.
  • Knowledge of AML, KYC, and other regulatory frameworks applicable to EMIs and FinTechs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple compliance tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and implement them into business processes.
  • Experience coordinating with regulators, internal auditors, or external consultants.
