The Supply Chain Finance Manager is the financial partner of Southstar Drug's procurement, warehousing, logistics, and distribution teams. This role ensures that every peso spent in the supply chain — from purchasing medicines to delivering them to stores — is cost-efficient, compliant, and aligned with company profitability goals.

In a business with hundreds of branches, thousands of SKUs, and strict DOH regulations, the Supply Chain Finance Manager helps balance service levels, inventory availability, and financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Control
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting for supply chain costs (warehousing, logistics, deliveries).
  • Monitor inventory days, shrinkage, and obsolescence.
  • Analyze actual vs. forecast variances and recommend actions.
  • Inventory & Procurement Finance
  • Partner with procurement to review supplier payment terms, rebates, and discounts.
  • Provide cost analysis for bulk purchases and product lifecycle management.
  • Support stock level optimization while avoiding overstock or stockouts.
  • Logistics & Distribution
  • Track and analyze delivery costs per store or per SKU.
  • Evaluate 3PL vendor contracts and transport route efficiencies.
  • Provide financial feasibility studies for new distribution hubs or system upgrades.
  • Business Partnering
  • Work closely with merchandising, supply chain, and store operations teams.
  • Provide insights on demand planning and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Reporting & Compliance
  • Build dashboards for supply chain KPIs (inventory turnover, delivery cost/unit, service levels).
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits related to supply chain and inventory.
