Job Summary:

Diatoms Fuel Inc. is seeking trustworthy, service-oriented, and proactive individuals to join our frontline operations as Pump Boys / Gas Station Attendants. The role is critical in ensuring efficient fuel dispensing, courteous customer service, and proper maintenance of the fueling area. The successful candidate will represent the Diatoms brand with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense fuel accurately and promptly to customers while ensuring correct transaction handling.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering basic inquiries, and assisting with vehicle needs (e.g., oil checks, tire pressure, windshield cleaning).
  • Process cash and electronic payments in a secure and accountable manner.
  • Issue official receipts and record sales transactions as required by station protocols.
  • Conduct routine checks and ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the fueling area, forecourt, and assigned workstations.
  • Monitor fuel levels in underground tanks and report low inventory or discrepancies to the Station Supervisor.
  • Assist in the daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance schedules of the pump station.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to fuel dispensing and hazardous materials.
  • Report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to management immediately.
  • Support restocking of lubricants, accessories, and convenience items as directed.

Qualifications:

  • At least high school graduate; vocational training is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in fuel dispensing or retail customer service is preferred but not required.
  • Basic numerical ability and familiarity with cash handling procedures.
  • Honest, responsible, and physically fit to perform standing and outdoor tasks for extended periods.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
  • Can operate with minimal supervision and with a high degree of integrity and accuracy.

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor forecourt and fuel dispensing stations.
  • Exposure to vehicle emissions, weather conditions, and petroleum products.
  • Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
