Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Finance and Compliance Manager, based in Metro Manila with some work-from-home flexibility. The primary responsibilities include financial planning, reporting, and analysis, overseeing compliance with local and international regulations, managing budgets, coordinating audits, and ensuring the financial health of the organization. You will be working closely with various teams to support social impact projects and ensure the effective and efficient use of resources.

Key roles:

  • Oversee the financial management and accounting functions of Dana Asia's operations, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance across multiple projects and entities.
  • Manage and monitor Dana Asia's Social Business Fund (SBF), ensuring best practice financial controls are in place including for disbursements, repayments, and risk mitigation.
  • Provide support the overall financial planning and budgeting process and check the accuracy of financials used in donor reporting.
  • Ensure financial regulatory filings (BIR, SEC finance reports, etc.), and coordinate audits.
  • Prepare financial donor reports, validate expenses against donor budgets, and ensure funds are used per contract.
  • Conduct financial due diligence on partners and review financial reports submitted by implementing partners
  • Design finance procedures, enforce procurement policy, and conduct compliance checks.
  • Consolidate financial statements, manage external audit, and file annual financial returns.
  • Prepare donor fund financial reports, monitor loan/project repayments, and reconcile project accounts with the general ledger.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations, both local and international
  • Experience managing audits and coordinating with auditors
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and reliably in a hybrid work environment
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus
  • Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace

Desirable

  • Experience in loan portfolio management, microfinance, or enterprise development funds.
  • Familiarity with impact investing, social business models, or blended finance.
  • Audit experience, particularly in reviewing systems and have the ability to detect fraud or misappropriation.
  • Knowledge of financial compliance for international donors.
