Business Analyst

RBS Business Analyst will specialize in requirements documentation and analysis, serving as the critical link between client business needs and technical solutions. The role is heavily focused on ensuring the creation of robust, scalable, and detailed documentation within the project lifecycle. This involves deep diving into business processes, translating them into technical requirements, and validating outcomes with stakeholders.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Documentation & Requirements Analysis (Primary Focus: 70%)

• Gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements from clients and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain clear requirement artifacts, including Business Requirement Specifications (BRS), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), Technical Proposals, Technical Solutions (TechSol), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Create visual aids such as process flows, data flow diagrams, use cases, and wireframes.
• Identify and document functional gaps, change requests, project dependencies, and system limitations.
• Ensure adherence to all documentation standards (RBS standards) and maintain up-to-date project repositories.
• Assist the QA team in defining UAT scripts, test scenarios, and acceptance checklists.
• Consolidate and distribute meeting minutes, action items, and deliverable summaries for project tracking.

Cross-Functional Coordination (20%)

• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, PMs, and APMs to ensure correct interpretation of requirements throughout the development cycle.
• Attend and actively participate in all relevant Agile/Scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, grooming, refinement sessions).
• Track and communicate requirement changes promptly and effectively to the project team.
• Coordinate with Technical Leads and UX/UI designers on the development and approval of wireframes and mockups.
• Provide timely clarification on requirements to internal teams (Support, Product, QA) as needed.

Client Engagement & Validation

• Support PM/APM in client meetings, requirement workshops, and feature walkthroughs.
• Present process flows, requirement drafts, and validation documents to clients for sign-off.
• Gather, manage, and incorporate client feedback into documentation.
• Help clients understand system capabilities, best practices, and release details.
• Participate in UAT support sessions to address requirement-related queries.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent technical field. Master's degree or MBA is an advantage.

Work Experience

• At least 1–3 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role. Experience in SaaS, Government Tech, HRIS, POS, or enterprise software is preferred.
• Proven experience creating BRD/FRD/BRS, process flows, and UAT scripts is highly preferred.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is an advantage.

• Competency in technical writing for end-user documentation (e.g., user manuals, training guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles).
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into user-friendly/client-friendly documentation.
• Experienced with requirement-gathering techniques and ensuring accuracy in documentation, process mapping, and requirements.
• Expert level use of documentation and collaboration suites (e.g., MS Office, Google Workspace, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in Wireframing tools (e.g., Figma, , Miro).
• Ability to interpret business data using tools like Excel and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Basic understanding of technical architecture, including SQL/database structures, APIs, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with web-based and mobile application development processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Tagalog & English).
• Strong analytical thinking, data interpretation skills, and advanced problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail (zero tolerance for vague requirements).
• Strong facilitation skills to lead meetings, requirement workshops, requirement reviews, and change management discussions.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, developers, and stakeholders.
• Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

• Certifications like CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are highly regarded. Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g., CSM) are a plus.
