Job Description

As an Advice Implementation Specialist, you will oversee the effective implementation of financial planning strategies, from managing client tasks and coordinating with stakeholders to ensuring compliance and service excellence. This role is key in turning financial advice into action and providing clients with an exceptional experience.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • 1-3 years relevant work experience
  • Knowledge and experience of the financial planning industry, including compliance requirements (mandatory)
  • IRESS/XPLAN advanced knowledge (mandatory)
  • High competency with Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and digital applications (mandatory)
  • Proven high attention to detail (mandatory)
  • Strong experience with client service and practice management (preferred) or demonstrable understanding of financial advice and implementation processes (mandatory)
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a financial planning practice handling High Net Wealth clients desired
  • Exposure to Self-Managed Super Funds, Family/Investment Discretionary Trusts, and knowledge of Personal, Trust, and SMSF Tax Returns (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong relationship-building skills across internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Solid business acumen and quality management mindset

Your Daily Tasks

  • Oversee, coordinate, and provide administrative support to all financial planning clients and services, including life insurance, superannuation, and investments.
  • Manage the effective implementation of financial plans, including follow-up of outstanding tasks and email correspondence between financial planners and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver outstanding client experiences to Abundant Advisory clients.
  • Provide research and implementation services for financial planning products, including life insurance, investments, and superannuation (including Self-Managed Super Funds).
  • Work with outsourced providers to execute all tasks required to deliver on the implementation of financial planning products.
  • Undertake administrative support for these functions with an emphasis on quality of service.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in financial planning processes.
  • Develop and foster close working relationships with Abundant Advisory referral partners and professional service providers to ensure an accurate and timely flow of information.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the implementation of financial planning strategies.
  • Assist, as directed by the financial planner, on compliance monitoring and reporting.
  • Assist in improving efficiency of processes for handling and following up on all administration tasks.
  • Support all Practice staff as required.
  • Participate as a positive and reliable team member, promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment.
  • Proactively and positively participate in performance development and review activities.
  • Comply with WHS responsibilities, including policies, operating procedures, and instructions.
  • Report all risks, hazards, incidents, near misses, and accidents as per the correct procedure, and act to remove hazards where possible.
