JOB SUMMARY

Under the close supervision of the Finance Supervisor, will be responsible for maintaining multiple master data objects while adhering to standard governance to ensure master data is compliant with defined information, policies and quality requirements as defined by the data owner in conjunction with the data management organization. This individual will be a contributing member of the Accounting team to support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or General Accounting as time allows.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for maintaining master data in SAP such as but not limited to those associated with Customers, Vendors, Bank, General Ledger, Pricelist and COPA structures as approved by the business.
  • Collaborate and create a formalized process for gathering master data elements from business partners in Sales, Purchasing, Service and other functional areas.
  • Coordinate with functional areas and Finance to ensure master data elements results in appropriate Accounting General Ledger postings. Must have thorough understanding of how master data impacts the business and Accounting.
  • Support/Training and Communication of functional master data governance including standards, definitions, processes, policies and tools to team members.
  • Design and maintain naming conventions, numbering sequences, etc. to logically organize master data and prevent duplicates
  • Create and maintain filing solutions for master data supporting documents
  • Assist with continuous improvement of data management, resolve master data issues, link master data between systems and ensure quality, compliance and consistency of master data
  • Creation of custom queries to monitor and maintain Master data and Reporting needs. Perform mass updates and other technical data support
  • Performs other functions which may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the same function, preferably gained from the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing Industry.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
  • Willing to work extended hours as needed
