Role Overview

As a
Data Analyst

you will sit at the intersection of credit, operations, and technology — maintaining clean, accurate data pipelines, developing internal tools, and supporting decision-making through analytics and model building.

This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, curious about credit risk, and eager to grow into data or credit leadership roles in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Portfolio & Back-End Management

  • Maintain and improve the data pipeline from the Loan Management System (LMS) to dashboards and loan-type trackers.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Generate ad-hoc portfolio and performance reports for management and investors.
  • Track and summarize portfolio highlights (e.g., loan book size, concentration, delinquency, NPL ratios).

2. Tool Development & Management

  • Build and maintain internal tools that support daily operations, including:

A) Risk analytics dashboards

B) Revenue and exposure calculators

C) Data entry and workflow trackers

  • Manage version control and database connections for existing tools and apps.
  • Support users with troubleshooting, guidance, and training on tool usage.

3. Credit Process Flow Management

  • Understand the end-to-end credit workflow, from origination to disbursement.
  • Provide assistance or insights regarding client information, tool functionality, and basic financial analysis.
  • Identify bottlenecks or process gaps and propose data-based improvements.

4. Risk Analysis & Model Development

  • Collect and clean data points relevant to portfolio and credit risk metrics.
  • Work with senior credit officers to define, test, and refine risk parameters.
  • Conduct model back-testing and performance monitoring using historical data.
  • Contribute to the design and documentation of credit models and scorecards.

5. Ad-Hoc Support

  • Assist in operations reporting (e.g., revenue calculators, tracker management).
  • Support credit analysts in packaging deals and verifying financial or client details.
  • Perform special analyses or projects as required by management.

Basic Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced Spreadsheet Skills (data cleaning, formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
  • Basic Programming or Scripting (JavaScript, Python, or equivalent preferred)
  • Financial Statement Analysis (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Data Visualization (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools)
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical curiosity, and process discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills — can discuss data, logic, and risk insights clearly.
