Job Summary:

As a Sportsbook Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing and mitigating risk related to betting activities. You will analyse betting trends, identify suspicious activity, and ensure the sportsbook operates profitably while minimizing financial exposure. The ideal candidate must have at least two years of experience in sportsbook risk management, trading, or a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor betting activity and analyze trends to identify unusual patterns, sharp bettors, and potential fraud.

Assess market risks and adjust betting lines, limits, or odds as needed.

Work closely with traders and risk managers to optimize profitability and minimize liability.

Develop and implement risk management strategies to improve sportsbook efficiency.

Use data analytics tools to generate reports on betting activity and risk exposure.

Collaborate with customer service, trading, and compliance teams to investigate and resolve risk-related concerns.

Maintain awareness of industry trends, new betting strategies, and emerging risks.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 2 years of experience in sportsbook risk management, trading, or a related role.

Strong understanding of sportsbook operations, odds calculations, and betting markets.

Experience with risk assessment tools and sportsbook software.

Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret large data sets and make data-driven decisions.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance in sports betting markets.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with major sportsbook platforms.

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python.

Previous experience in fraud detection and prevention within sportsbook operations.
