Responsibilities for Accounting Associate

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Maintain organized financial records and support audit preparation
  • Help prepare financial reports, statements, and budgets
  • Respond to vendor and client inquiries and resolve billing issues
  • Support admin and payroll processing as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and consistent financial data

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Experience in a corporate or multi-departmental setting
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Maintain organized financial records and support audit preparation
  • Help prepare financial reports, statements, and budgets

  • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
  • Make calls in the US via company provided phone service when necessary

Since this is remote work, applicants should have high speed internet access and desktop/laptop computer to do the job.

Our company is US based so meetings may be frequent.

Full-time hours: 8 hours Monday to Friday in US Pacific time
