Senior Accountant

BUILD A CAREER IN ACCOUNTING & FINANCE

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant shall be responsible for all aspects of daily accounting operations. The position shall supervise invoicing, inventory control, monthly closings, accounts payable and receivable monitoring, disbursement, preparation of the monthly financial statements, local tax compliance and maintain balance sheet schedules and subsidiary ledgers, as well as assist in various special projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The purpose of the role is to ensure that all financial bookings are consistent, accurate, and finalized in time according to group guidelines. The role involves advising and training the business partners on accounting guidelines and new regulations e.g. International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Scope: Elevated role in General Ledger - end-to-end responsibility for closing; additional responsibilities include: supports with projects, acts as assistant team lead, and/or is responsible for key user tasks. Typically brings education, experience, and accounting certification to the role (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA).

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• A Certified Public Accountant, graduate of a reputable University in the Philippines; CIA or CFA is a plus.
• At least 7 years of progressive career experience in Financial Accounting in multi-national corporations or well-known Philippine based Company.
• Strong background in Philippine Taxation and had exposures in handling tax assessments.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Works effectively under pressure to achieve outstanding results within the deliverable timeframe, and with the available resources.
• Ability to self-reflect, have a high learning agility, and proactive in seeking and providing constructive feedback.
• Team player, collaborative, self-starter.
• Must be willing to relocate to other countries for future career progression.
