About the role

We are seeking a talented Cost Accounting Officer to join the Finance team at Manila Doctors Hospital (Manila Medical Services Inc.) in Manila City, Metro Manila.

What you'll be doing

  • Strengthen and improve processes in Cost Accounting. Assist in formulation of hospital packages and ensure the hospital profitability. Identify critical areas of departments and recommend cost cutting measures.
  • Develop cost models of all procedures and packages of the hospital and develop maximal utilization of resources.
  • Analyze all cost and revenue accounts. Perform variance analysis procedures based on standard cost.
  • Coordinate with Budget section, Financial Reporting section on variance and projections.
  • Identify gaps in various departments and recommends internal control procedures.

What we're looking for

  • Relevant bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a cost accounting or financial analysis role, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on ensuring the integrity of financial records
  • Proficient in the use of financial software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and regulations, such as IFRS or GAAP
