Job Description:

The Mechanical Engineer / Technician – Food & Beverage / Hospitality is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, repair, and upkeep of all facilities, kitchen equipment, and utilities across NT Group's restaurants and commissaries. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, compliance with safety standards, and technical support for store expansion projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns on kitchen equipment, chillers, freezers, exhaust systems, and utilities.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and operational standards.
  • Support installations, renovations, and equipment fit-outs for new stores and commissaries.
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repair reports, and spare parts inventory.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance or repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Vocational/Technical/TESDA certification in Electrical Installation & Maintenance, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent technical field.
  • Valid safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, Electrical Safety) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in maintenance/repairs within the F&B, retail, or hospitality industry (commercial kitchen equipment, walk-in coolers, industrial HVAC, etc. preferred).
  • Familiarity with major commercial kitchen brands (Hobart, True, Carrier, etc.) advantageous
  • Skilled in troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.
  • Experience with 220V/440V commercial electrical systems and motor controls
  • Physically fit, hardworking, and reliable.
  • Flexible to travel to multiple branches in Metro Manila.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation required for branch visits
  • Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills.
