Planning Manager – Product Development and Innovation

ROLE PURPOSE:

The role is responsible for identifying, developing, and commercializing new products and services derived from mature or emerging technologies. The role integrates innovation strategy, business model development, market research, and process improvement to drive revenue growth. It includes implementing pilot launches to validate new offerings and determine their readiness for scaling, after which the manager recommends and facilitates their turnover to the Sales team for full commercialization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver Innovation initiatives and opportunities from either mature or emerging solutions and technologies, and spearhead growth through key project milestones such as: Pilot project - Go / No Go recommendation for commercialization
  • Execute products and new service offering initiatives and deliverables including, but not limited to: Business Plan, Due Diligence, Risk Mitigation Plan, Transition team coordination, Communication plan, LT and/or SLT approval
  • Develop and Sustain Strategic Partnerships through, but not limited to: Joint Development Agreements, Partnerships Agreements, Consultancy Engagements, Cooperation Agreements
  • Market Research Programs, Market analysis report, Market Performance Database system, Recommended new technical service offerings, business model and client prospects

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • At least a college graduate, with a degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, business, marketing, or innovation) is an advantage
  • Project management, marketing, sales, business development and operationalization experience is preferred. Should have prior experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated skills across all stages of the innovation process, including idea prototyping and service/product/business development Capable of conducting consumer centric market research and project related secondary and primary research with minimal guidance
