Role Summary
We are hiring a Technical Engineer (Level 2) with solid experience across infrastructure, networks, and cybersecurity. You will be the go-to technical escalation point for infrastructure, network, and security operations.
This role focuses on providing second-line technical support, working closely with vendors and service providers, and ensuring IT services operate smoothly and securely.
You will be able to work closely with leading technology vendors and MSPs to deliver stable and secure IT services.
You will be playing a key part in resolving escalated incidents, implementing changes, and maintaining documentation to support knowledge sharing across the IT team.
You will work with a supportive team while collaborating with internal stakeholders, managed service providers, and technology partners to keep services stable and aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
· Incident & Problem Resolution: Act as the escalation point for complex infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity issues. Work with internal teams and external vendors to restore services quickly.
Change Implementation: Support planned changes across infrastructure, networks, and security platforms. Ensure changes are documented, tested, and delivered with minimal risk.
Infrastructure & Networks: Maintain and support enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud services, escalating where appropriate.
Cybersecurity: Apply security best practices in day-to-day operations, monitor for threats, and escalate issues where needed.
Supplier & Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and MSPs to resolve incidents, carry out changes, and manage escalations. Monitor service delivery against SLAs.
Documentation & Knowledge Management: Produce and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and process workflows. Use SharePoint for effective document control and knowledge sharing.
Service Management: Follow ITIL-aligned processes for incident, problem, and change management. Contribute to continual service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 3–7 years' experience in infrastructure, networks, or security engineering/support.
· Hands-on expertise with network administration (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching).
· Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and common security tools.
· Experience working directly with MSPs and cloud vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Mimecast.
· Proficiency with SharePoint and document management.
· Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
· Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Associate/Expert.
· Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
· Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks.
· Basic knowledge of automation or scripting (PowerShell, Python).
