The Modern Trade Supervisor will be responsible for driving the sales performance, maximizing product visibility, and managing the relationship and execution within assigned Modern Trade (supermarket, hypermarket, major retailer) accounts for auro cafe's retail products. This role ensures perfect execution of trade promotions, merchandising, and distribution goals at the store level.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Target Achievement:

  • Achieve or exceed sales volume and value targets for all assigned Modern Trade and Key Account outlets.
  • Monitor stock levels, sales velocity, and inventory movement to ensure optimal product availability and minimize out-of-stock incidents.
  • Conduct regular store visits to audit sales execution, identifying opportunities and risks to sales performance.

2. Trade Marketing & Merchandising:

  • Ensure the strict and effective implementation of all agreed-upon planograms (shelf layout guides) to maximize auro cafe's product visibility.
  • Oversee the proper deployment and setup of Point-of-Sale Materials (POSMs), promotional displays, and in-store activations (e.g., product tasting/sampling).
  • Negotiate for prime shelf space and secondary display locations within the store to enhance brand presence.

3. Account Management & Relationship Building:

  • Serve as the primary on-the-ground contact for Store Managers and department heads within the Modern Trade accounts.
  • Manage and resolve operational issues, such as delivery discrepancies, product quality concerns, and inventory returns, promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with all trade agreements, listing requirements, and promotional mechanics across all supervised stores.

4. Team & Reporting:

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate any Merchandisers or Sales Representatives assigned to the Modern Trade channels to ensure consistent execution standards.
  • Gather and report market intelligence, including competitor activities, pricing, and new product launches, to inform the wider sales strategy.
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly sales reports, execution audits, and performance analyses for management review.
