We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and our ability to provide top-notch services to our clients. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Accountant to join our team.

Position Overview: We are looking for an absolute gun Accountant with CFO potential to manage our in-house accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, strong leadership skills, and the ability to streamline processes and enhance financial reporting accuracy. This position offers the flexibility of permanent work from home and is available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

Rent Trust Accounting:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple trust accounts.
  • Process a high volume of invoices accurately and on time.
  • Manage creditor runs in line with payment schedules.
  • Execute mid-month and end-of-month processing for rent disbursements and statements.
  • Finalise bond lodgements through RBO (Residential Bonds Online) and reconcile bonds.
  • Verify and apply letting fees, lease preparation fees, and advertising charges correctly per agreement.
  • Archive portfolios in Property Tree software.
  • Process rent settlement adjustments as per request.
  • Prepare and issue commercial tenant outgoings in accordance with lease agreements.

Sales Trust Accounting:

  • Receipt sales transactions.
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations for sales trust accounts.
  • Process sales settlements, including payments to vendors, agents, and associated parties.
  • Raise and manage sales marketing invoices as per agency agreements.
  • Accurately calculate and allocate sales commissions in line with company policy and agent structures.

General Accounting (Company Accounts):

  • Process and reconcile general business account payments using Xero.
  • Record supplier invoices, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Handle payroll processing for multiple employees, ensuring compliance with relevant awards and tax obligations.
  • Liaise with insurance brokers to manage multiple insurance policies, ensuring accurate allocation and timely renewal of coverage.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in trust accounting, preferably in real estate with large rent roll operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Property Tree and Xero.
  • Solid understanding of relevant trust accounting legislation and compliance requirements.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple trust accounts concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with property managers, agents, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field is required.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is a MUST.
