JOB SUMMARY

The Safety Officer is a DOLE-accredited safety professional responsible for leading and implementing the company's occupational safety and health programs. S/he conducts risk assessments, enforcing safety standards, investigating incidents, and ensuring full compliance with government-mandated OSH requirements. The SO also provides technical guidance and helps lead the Health and Safety Committee.

  • Ensures compliance with RA OSH Law), DOLE Department Order , and related safety laws and regulations.
  • Prepares, submits, and maintains DOLE-mandated safety reports and documentation (e.g., Work Accident Reports, OSH Program).
  • Serves as the company's safety representative during DOLE audits and site

inspections.

  • Leads investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
  • Analyzes root causes and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
  • Submit incident reports to management and DOLE as required.
  • Conducts mandatory OSH orientations for all new hires and contractors.
  • Facilitates internal safety training programs and drills (fire, earthquake, emergency).
  • Assists in formulating and updating the company's OSH policies and safety programs.
  • Monitors implementation of OSH plans, emergency response plans, and safety campaigns.
  • Maintains updated Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure chemical safety compliance (if applicable).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Health Sciences, orrelated field
  • Certification:Must be a DOLE-accredited Safety Officer 3Completed 40-hour Basic OSH TrainingCompleted 48-hour Advanced OSH Training (for SO3)Preferably trained in Accident Investigation, BOSH/COSH, Lifeline andEmergency Response
  • Work Experience: At least 2-3 years relevant experience in safety roles within medium to high-risk environments
