Role Overview: Design and deliver high-quality web experiences and backend APIs that that enable the requirements under the Client Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with team on the web frontend and backend services from technical design to production operations.
  • Build REST and GraphQL APIs with clear contracts, versioning, and deprecation policies.
  • Model data for transactional integrity.
  • Integrate with payment providers, identity platforms, loyalty systems, and external vendors.
  • Optimize application performance, utilizing CDN and edge caching, and efficient queries.
  • Enforce security best practices: OAuth2 or OIDC, JWT, TLS 1.2+, CSRF and XSS protections, rate limiting, secrets management, and key rotation.
  • Build reliability into the stack: health checks, graceful degradation, circuit breakers, idempotency, and zero-downtime deployments.
  • Establish strong testing discipline: unit, integration, contract tests, end-to-end, and synthetic monitoring.
  • Set up CI and CD with gated pipelines, feature flags, staged rollouts, and rollback plans.
  • Instrument applications for observability with logs, metrics, and traces, and drive improvements from telemetry.
  • Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and localization for multi-region rollout.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience shipping consumer-grade web apps and backend APIs at scale.
  • Strong command of HTTP fundamentals, API design, caching, data modeling, and distributed systems basics.

  • Hands-on work with payments, authentication, push notifications or email, and third-party SDKs.
  • Solid CI and CD practice, infrastructure automation, and cloud deployments on AWS.
