Position Overview

The Business Analyst (Financial Modeling & Investments) will play a key role in supporting the company's strategic and financial planning initiatives, including investment evaluation, project feasibility, and business performance analysis. This role will focus on developing and maintaining financial models, conducting market and operational analysis, and providing insights that drive data-informed decisions for both existing operations and new business ventures.

The Business Analyst will work closely with the Finance Director and other senior leaders to guide investment strategies, optimize resource allocation, and ensure financial sustainability across all Fagokho brands.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Investment Analysis

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for new projects, brand expansions, and capital investments.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and ROI analyses for proposed business initiatives.
  • Evaluate financial performance of ongoing investments and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Provide scenario and sensitivity analyses to support executive decision-making.

Strategic & Business Analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data on sales, costs, and market performance across brands.
  • Support the development of strategic business cases and presentation decks for management and board review.
  • Track KPIs and provide regular performance reports to support financial and operational planning.

Budgeting & Forecasting Support

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long-range financial forecasts.
  • Work with accounting and operations teams to ensure financial assumptions align with actual performance trends.

Collaboration & Insights

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Marketing) to identify growth opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business expansion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or related field (CPA or CFA certification is an advantage).
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, business planning, or investment evaluation, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, business acumen, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
