Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architect to support our design and construction team. This role involves assisting in the development of architectural designs, preparing technical drawings and visualizations, and coordinating with various project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a fresh or recent graduate with a solid foundation in design tools and a strong willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare CAD drawings and SketchUp models for architectural concepts and presentations
  • Create concept boards, design drawings, and rendered perspectives
  • Support the Senior Architect in supplier, contractor, and consultant coordination
  • Attend on-site client and coordination meetings as needed
  • Assist in cost estimating and feasibility studies for proposed projects
  • Conduct on-site measurements and assist with space planning assessments
  • Help prepare and organize architectural documentation, including working and "as-built" drawings
  • Participate in the review of shop drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and material submittals to ensure compliance with contract requirements; report discrepancies to the Architect
  • Monitor on-site construction activities, ensuring that materials, dimensions, and workmanship meet project standards
  • Assist in supervising and coordinating workers on-site, helping ensure safety, productivity, and adherence to plans and timelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (BS Architecture)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion and Adobe Photoshop
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work under pressure
  • Positive team player with a good work ethic and professional attitude
  • Willing to work both in the office and on construction sites
