Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, orrelated field.
  • Experienced in cost accounting, auditing, or financial analysis in a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Familiarity with dairy operations and compliance with the federal milk order is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of waste management practices and environmental compliance standards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet.

Responsibilities:

Compliance & Internal Audit

  • Ensure compliance with federal milk marketing orders and other applicable food production regulations.

Support internal and external audits by providing documentation andinsights into plant operations.

  • Conduct periodic audits of inventory, production, and waste systems to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies, standard operatingprocedures, and regulatory requirements.

Operational Efficiency & Cost Control

  • Collaborate with plant managers and operations teams to identify and reduce waste, improve yield, and optimize resource use.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and process efficiency.
  • Support inventory management through cycle counts, reconciliations, and root cause analysis of variances.

SOX Compliance & Internal Controls

As part of the company's commitment to financial integrity and regulatory compliance, Plant Auditors play a key role in supporting Sarbanes-Oxley(SOX) compliance across all manufacturing locations. This includes:

  • Ensuring inventory and cost accounting systems are accurate, transparent, and auditable.
  • Maintaining segregation of duties in financial and operational processes to prevent conflicts of interest.
  • Implementing and monitoring IT controls over systems that manage production, procurement, and financial data.
  • Conducting regular internal audits and maintaining thorough documentation of financial workflows and control procedures.
