Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven AP/AR Associate with at least 1 year of relevant experience to support our finance and accounting operations. This role is ideal with a solid foundation in accounting principles and hands-on experience in accounts payable and/or receivable. The successful candidate will assist with processing financial transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and on time.
  • Match purchase orders, delivery receipts, and invoices to verify accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing and processing payments via checks, ACH, or wire transfers.
  • Maintain vendor files and respond to inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and assist with resolving outstanding balances.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Generate customer invoices and ensure timely delivery.
  • Apply incoming payments to appropriate accounts.
  • Assist in monitoring aging reports and following up on past-due accounts.
  • Help resolve payment disputes and customer inquiries professionally.
  • Support cash application and reconciliation processes.

General Accounting & Support:

  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate billing and payments.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting/finance team as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Required)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an AP, AR, or general accounting role.
  • Internship or part-time experience in a finance/accounting function may count toward this.

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience using accounting or ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a shared services or high-volume environment.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and responsibly.
