POSITION SUMMARY

A cashier's primary responsibility is to process customer transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This involves scanning items, collecting payments in various forms (cash, credit, debit), issuing receipts, and providing change or refunds. Cashiers also handle customer inquiries, bag purchases, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transaction Processing: Using cash registers or POS systems to scan items, collect payments, and issue receipts.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with returns or exchanges.
  • Cash Handling: Balancing cash drawers, making change, and following security procedures.
  • Maintaining a Clean Workspace: Keeping the checkout area tidy and organized.
  • Product Knowledge: Being able to answer questions about products and promotions.
  • Reporting: Balancing the cash register and reporting any discrepancies or issues.

  • Customer Service: Providing positive and efficient service to all customers.
  • Math Skills: Accurately processing transactions, calculating change, and applying discounts.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in transactions and handling cash properly.

  • Problem-solving: Resolving customer complaints and concerns.

Additional Duties: Assisting with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory, Redeeming coupons and loyalty programs, Handling returns and exchanges, and Following store policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements

Education

  • At least college level

Work experience

  • At least 2 years customer service experience
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php18, Php19,000.00 per month
