Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, prepare and implement OHS policies and programs as required by law.
  • Advise and lead employees on various safety related matters.
  • Review existing policies and safety procedures.
  • Promotes occupational health and safety within the organization and develops safer and healthier ways of working
  • Inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings
  • Verifies that all tools an equipment are adequate and safe for use
  • Promotes safe practices at the job site
  • Enforces safety guidelines
  • Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations
  • Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses
  • Reports to concerned authorities as requested or mandated by regulations
  • Conducts job hazard analyses
  • Establishes safety standards and policies as needed
  • Performs emergency response drills
  • Responds to employees' safety concerns
  • Coordinates registration and removal of hazardous waste
  • Serves as the link between state and local agencies and contractors
  • Receives reports from and responds to orders issued by government agencies and/or inspectors
  • Ensures that personal protective equipment, such as dust masks, safety glasses, footwear and safety helmets, is being used in workplaces according to regulations 5. Ensures that dangerous materials are properly handled and stored.
  • Prepare weekly reports as required by the company
  • Preferably know how to drive and willing to be relocated.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Vocational diploma/short Course Certificate, Bachelor's/College Degree/Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Environmental Health/Safety) Nursing or equivalent
  • With at least 2 years' work experience as Safety Officer 3
  • With BOSH/COSH Training (seminar on DOLE), LCM and HIRAC Certificate
  • Having First Aid/BLS Training from RED CROSS Certificate is an advantage
  • Willing to be assigned in Laguna or Batangas
  • Must Possess Good Interpersonal Skills
