Central Hub Safety Officer will be in charge of maintaining the safety and well-being of personnel in the warehouse

-Implementation of improvement projects 

-Identifying and mitigating safety hazards

-Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

-Promoting a culture of safety.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor the central hub's operations to identify potential safety hazards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses, and report findings to management
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Prepare and submit required safety reports and documentation to regulatory authorities
  • Conduct safety training sessions for the personnel
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first-aid protocols.
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts during incidents and ensure compliance with the company's emergency response guidelines.
  • Maintain and update emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency exits.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for all areas of the hub, including warehouses, offices, and loading zones.
  • Provide safety-related recommendations to management for improving overall safety culture and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certification in safety management is desirable.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in safety management or a similar role, preferably in a central hub or industrial environment.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations
  • Have strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • Is impact-driven and want to make a positive impact to the lives of Sari Sari store owners; ultimately playing a role in bridging the income inequality gap in the Philippines
  • Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
