JOB SUMMARY:

An office-based role that takes accountability for driving sales and profitability of the business through an existing merchandising portfolio. Work in conjunction with the Merchandising Officer to maximize product opportunities for the department store.

Sphere of responsibilities include providing assistance in merchandise planning and implementation, control of inventory levels, design of pricing scheme and proactively network with store supervisor/team members on other areas of store operations ensuring that the highest level of customer service proposition is at place at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration major in Accounting, Economics & Finance or in Marketing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years merchandising experience in a Department store or any retail set up particularly in Appliance, Furniture or Houseware Dept.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Attention to details
  • Communication & organizational skills
  • Visual Merchandising skills
