Who you are

You are the Senior Finance Manager of Odd Group. As the Senior Finance Manager leading a finance team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategies and ensuring robust internal controls while nurturing a results-driven finance team.

You will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and analysis. This role plays a key part in driving strategic decision-making, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, supporting overall business growth, partnering with senior leadership, and providing insights that influence the company's financial health and long-term sustainability.

What You Do

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide comprehensive direction for accounting, tax management, budgeting, statutory, and management financial reporting functions.
  • Oversee Treasury and Financial Planning and Analysis to ensure seamless operations and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead and offer strategic financial planning and recommendations based on thorough analysis to support business decisions.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting laws, tax regulations, and ethical standards to maintain compliance.

Financial Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly and annual financial closings, including the comprehensive preparation of financial statements for all stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor tax preparation, filing, and advisory services to optimize tax liabilities while ensuring legal compliance with all tax provisions, guarantee regulatory requirements, and deadlines.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all relevant statutory requirements set by relevant government entities.
  • Prepare detailed budget performance reports and other essential documents for Management to support informed decision-making. These reports include but are not limited to P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, Aging of Receivables, Sales and Budget forecast, Cost Tracking.
  • Conduct detailed audits and assurance activities to validate financial reporting and ensure legal compliance.
  • Oversee the company procurement and properly set up and execute the procurement process.
  • Reconcile bank accounts.
  • Manage the cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, use of petty cash, handle online banking by reviewing balances, transmitting payroll, transferring funds, setting up new accounts, and processing online payments in accordance with finance policies.
  • Document and maintain complete and correct supporting information for all financial transactions.
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper management of sensitive financial information.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

  • Establish, develop, maintain and implement effective internal control systems to safeguard assets, financial integrity, prevent fraud, promote transparency, and ensure accountability within all finance-related activities.
  • Collaborate and work with management to monitor risk management policies and procedures to ensure that program and organizational risks are minimized through effective controls and checks.
  • Monitor key financial metrics, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations to detect and address potential financial discrepancies or fraud.
  • Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments.

Team Management & Development

  • Manage a results-driven finance team, fostering a collaborative culture focused on shared success.
  • Provide training opportunities and encourage professional growth among team members.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Partner with department heads to track performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Strive to enhance performance and operational activities through innovation, process improvement, and continuous exploration of new methods.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting or related field
  • Well versed in GAAP and other accounting principles and practices
  • With significant years of progressive financial experience performing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledgers, tax and other finance and government regulations compliances, budget preparation and financial reporting in a multi-department environment
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills
  • Demonstrates a highly motivated and technology-driven attitude
