The MIS Project & Product Manager is accountable for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of MIS-related projects that support business operations and inform decision-making. This role involves full-cycle project management, system and process design, and close collaboration with both business units and technical teams to ensure MIS products and services align with business requirements, are delivered on schedule, and are effectively maintained. This is an individual contributor role, responsible for independently managing both MIS products and projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management

○ Drive the planning, execution, and successful delivery of MIS projects, including new system implementations, enhancements, and integrations.

○ Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource needs.

○ Manage project risks, issues, and escalations.

○ Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and quality standards.

  • Product & Process Design

○ Analyze business requirements and translate them into MIS system specifications.

○ Design workflows, data processes, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.

○ Work with system engineers, developers, and database teams to implement solutions.

○ Evaluate existing MIS processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

  • Stakeholder Management

○ Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and validate solutions.

○ Act as the bridge between management, end-users, and technical teams.

○ Manage vendor relationships for outsourced MIS solutions or tools.

  • Governance & Reporting

○ Establish and enforce MIS system documentation, SOPs, and user guides.

○ Monitor system usage, adoption, and data quality.

○ Deliver regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and improvements. Prepared

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in MIS, business systems analysis, or IT project management.
  • Strong knowledge of IT process, reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar), and workflow automation.
  • Experience managing projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies with JIRA.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and process design skills.
  • PMP/PRINCE2 or ITIL certification (preferred but not mandatory).
