Job Summary:

The cost engineer coordinates, directs and leads estimating efforts to ensure optimum costing based on the design prepared by the engineering team.

Responsible for the preparation of BOQ, requesting proposals from suppliers and identifies the budget cost per project.

  1. Spearheads the preparation of cost data for proposals and contract negotiations

  2. Determine project scope, define requirements, and coordinates with other teams to meet deadlines and customer requirements.

  3. Establish quote priorities based on evaluation and analysis of overall opportunities

  4. Develop and implement requirements for cost recording, reporting and analyzing standards, programs and reports.

  5. Provide financial reporting, trending data, perform data analysis and development

  6. Identifies all the cost to be considered in the project including the indirect cost

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of any Engineering course, preferably licensed
  • Minimum of one year applicable or relevant work experience
  • Exemplary work experience as a cost engineer/ Estimator preferably in water/wastewater project
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Familiarity and ability to comply with all applicable rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards
  • Aptitude for working collaboratively with multiple disciplines within teams and projects
  • Current certifications in applicable skills a plus
