Civil Works Engineer

Cavite City, Calabarzon, Philippines METRO PACIFIC TOLLWAYS SOUTH MANAGEMENT CORP Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Site management and supervision

  2. Attendance to all WIRs

  3. Ensure performance of the work is in strict accordance with the plans and specifications 4. Checks if the day works activities are aligned with the approved schedule and inform the Construction Supervisor or CM any deviations

  4. Coordinate daily with the Contractor's engineer and/or foreman in charge of the work on the proper execution of the work

  5. Coordinate works with the QC Supervisor or inspectors to assure that sampling, testing, and quality of works are satisfactorily met

  6. Coordinate works with the Surveyors to assure that the lines and grades of works are in conformance with the plans and specifications

  7. Coordinate with the QESH inspectors to assure that works are in strict compliance with the approved safety plan

  8. Notify Construction Supervisor or CM instances wherein implementation of detailed plans and drawings are inapplicable

  9. Report to the Construction Supervisor or CM any failure of the Contractor to conform with the plans and specifications or failure to provide good workmanship

  10. Notify the Construction Supervisor or CM of conditions that render it impractical or unreasonable to enforce the specifications

  11. Report questionable methods of operation by the Contractor to the Construction Supervisor or CM

  12. Maintain a detailed diary of the day work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc.

  13. Daily Outputs: Daily Field Inspection Report (DFIR); Daily Accomplishment Monitoring; Incident Report (when necessary); Site Observation Report (when necessary); and Nonconformance Report (when necessary)

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

B. Experience: Minimun two (2) years working experience in the same field.

C. Licenses (if applicable): Licensed Engineer

D. Others:
• Familiar with project management and good communication skills
• Computer literate, skilled in using MS Office program (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Interpersonal skill, ethical values and commitment to continual improvement
