Job Summary:

The Audit Assistant Manager – Retail is responsible for supporting the Audit Manager in planning and executing internal audit engagements across the retail business. The role focuses on evaluating financial, operational, and compliance controls, identifying risks, and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency, safeguard assets, and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing risk-based internal audit engagements across retail operations (e.g., store operations, inventory management, point-of-sale systems, supply chain).
  • Supervise audit fieldwork, review documentation, and ensure adherence to internal auditing standards and company policies.
  • Perform audits of store branches, warehouses, and support functions to identify operational inefficiencies, fraud risks, and compliance issues.
  • Analyze inventory control, cash handling procedures, and loss prevention practices.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports with actionable recommendations for management.
  • Track and follow up on the implementation of audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with store managers and operational heads to promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, retail compliance requirements, and best practices in internal controls.
  • Support the Audit Manager in mentoring junior auditors and improving audit processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CIA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of internal or external audit experience, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.
  • Solid understanding of retail business processes, including inventory, procurement, sales, and store operations.
  • Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and audit tools; experience with retail ERP systems is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Php40,000.00 per month
