Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Intern to assist our IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems. The intern will gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting issues, providing technical support, and learning how our IT infrastructure operates. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Provide support for IT-related issues such as troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
  • Support the IT team with network management, including monitoring network performance and security.
  • Help in setting up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Support data backup and recovery procedures.
  • Maintain IT documentation, including equipment inventory and technical manuals.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updating software and antivirus programs.
  • Collaborate with team members on special IT projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

  • Experience with coding or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL).
