We are seeking for a skilled and proactive Data Visualization Analyst to lead the development of new reporting dashboards and visualizations—primarily in Grafana, with light support for Tableau. This role is designed to ensure continuity and innovation in our reporting ecosystem as we transition most of our analytics workflows to Grafana.

While Tableau will remain, we need someone who can confidently make minor updates and validate outputs in both platforms. The primary focus, however, will be on building new Grafana reports that drive insights and decision-making across the organization.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Grafana Development (Primary Focus):
    • Design, build, and maintain dynamic Grafana dashboards for various business units.
    • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipelines support visualization needs.
    • Build and maintain Grafana dashboards for real-time streaming metrics (e.g., viewer counts, bitrate, latency, engagement).
    • Implement alerting and monitoring features for operational dashboards.
  • Tableau Support (Secondary Focus):
    • Perform light maintenance and updates to existing Tableau dashboards.
    • Validate data accuracy and ensure visual integrity of legacy reports.
    • Keep Tableau stable and reliable for business reporting.
  • Reporting Strategy & Execution:
    • Translate stakeholder needs into actionable visualizations.
    • Prioritize new report creation aligned with streaming KPIs and business goals.
    • Ensure consistency and usability across Grafana and Tableau platforms.
  • Documentation & Enablement:
    • Maintain clear documentation for dashboards, data sources, and logic.
    • Provide guidance to team members unfamiliar with Grafana or Tableau.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Grafana (required) and Tableau (preferred).
  • Familiarity with streaming analytics, time-series databases, and observability tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with APIs or streaming data sources.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and validate data outputs independently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Tableau Server administration or Tableau Prep.
  • Familiarity with streaming platforms, CDN metrics, or video analytics.
  • Experience with Grafana Loki, Tempo, or other observability tools.
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
