What you'll be doing

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to ensure the safety and reliability of our fleet
  • Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate repairs and minimise equipment downtime
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to protect yourself and your colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to improve your skills and efficiency

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Truck or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic equipment and tools
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and engine mechanics
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the operations team
  • Commitment to safety and a desire to continuously improve your skills
