Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle accounting processes, analyze financial data, ensure accuracy, and deliver timely reports while maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. The role requires strong experience in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online), proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to adapt to new workflows and tasks.

Responsibilities:

· Obtain and review bank statements, credit card statements, and other source documents from clients.

· Analyze and categorize revenue, expenses, and other transactions into appropriate accounts.

· Prepare Excel spreadsheets for unclear transactions, seek clarification from clients, and record the clarified entries into QuickBooks (Desktop/Online).

· Reconcile books with bank statements monthly.

· Perform specialized reconciliations, including:

· Transient Occupancy Reports (Motel Industry)

· Sales Tax Returns (Retail clients)

· Payroll reports

· Analyze financial trends and provide timely warnings or insights to management.

· Follow and maintain rigorous quality control processes consistently.

· Assist with special projects, such as data entry into tax software (e.g., Drake) and preparing customized client reports for various purposes.

Requirements

· 4+ years of accounting experience is required.

· Strong understanding of debit and credit accounting principles.

· Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online is a must.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

· Ability to multitask and adapt to new methods and tasks.

· Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to work.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in clear English.

· A client-focused attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with team members locally and globally.

· Willingness to learn and embrace new processes.

· Accounting degree is a plus, but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience preparing tax reports and special reconciliations.

· Familiarity with tax software like Drake is a plus.
