Area Sales Manager

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for acquiring new clients, driving sales growth, supervising daily sales activities, and maintaining relationships with key customers within assigned branches or territories. This role supports strategic sales planning and ensures area targets are met through effective execution and leadership of the sales team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Client Acquisition & Sales Growth
- Researches and identifies potential clients; compiles lists of target companies for sales presentations
Proactively visits new and prospective clients to introduce the company and its products.
Ensures generation of sales from new accounts to achieve area and company targets
2. Strategic Planning & Implementation
- Assists the Strategic Accounts Manager in developing and implementing strategic sales plans to solidify the company's market presence and expand its customer base
3. Relationship Management & Team Leadership
- Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients and suppliers
- Coordinates sales activities with assigned stores/branches
- Leads and guides Sales Agents 1 and 2 in their daily sales activities
- Provides quality leadership while maintaining professional relationships with branch personnel
- Supervises the daily upkeep and sales-related activities of the branch
4. Product Knowledge
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the company's products and services to effectively communicate benefits to clients
- Trains team members on product features and competitive advantages to enhance sales performance
5. Reporting & Database Management
- Submits all required sales reports accurately and on time
- Encodes all client calls, visits, and relevant sales data into the system
6. Market Research & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitors new products and competitor activities in the market
- Provides timely competitor information to the Strategic Accounts Manager
7. Other Duties
- Performs other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a supervisory capacity
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong coaching and people-development skills
- Energetic and motivating individual
- Creative thinking
- Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
- Strong communication and people skills, adept at simplifying complex marketing ideas for client understanding
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills
