About the Role

We are seeking a Cloud Architect to define and implement the to-be cloud architecture and peripheral services for the organization's Cloud Foundation / Landing Zone. This role focuses on designing, building, and operationalizing a scalable, secure, and well-governed cloud environment that supports cloud adoption, migration, and ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the target cloud architecture aligned with business and technical requirements, including resource organization, IAM, network topology, security, governance, monitoring, and cost management.
  • Design and implement the cloud foundation/landing zone as a modular, scalable platform for deploying and managing cloud resources efficiently.
  • Develop architecture blueprints and documentation for landing zone components, including management groups, accounts/subscriptions, shared services, policies, guardrails, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Implement peripheral services such as logging/monitoring, disaster recovery, certificate/key management, and cloud cost tracking.
  • Automate deployment of landing zone infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Collaborate with cloud platform teams, application teams, security, and compliance to ensure governance and compliance requirements are met.
  • Establish operational processes for monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Support cloud migration strategy and roadmap, ensuring new workloads align with landing zone architecture while optimizing cost and performance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5–8 years of experience in cloud solution design, implementation, and support.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, security, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), orchestration, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud cost management, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with cloud technology trends.
  • Experience in cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud environments.
  • Proven ability to optimize performance and cost of cloud workloads.
  • Previous experience in project management or cross-functional collaboration.
