This is a remote position.

As the YouTube Long-Form Video Editor, you will own the full process of transforming raw footage into world-class, retention-driven videos that scale Mike's personal brand and the company's content output. You'll leverage AI-powered tools, motion graphics, and animation to create polished videos while also serving as a strategic partner for production quality, filming setups, and content direction.

This role goes beyond YouTube editing, you'll contribute across multiple media formats (podcasts, website videos, sales pages, ads, and experimental content), collaborate with other editors, and provide training and mentorship to elevate the entire creative team.

Flexible in MST Timezone - 20 hours a week but more related to the output mentioned below - i.e. the deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and deliver 12+ long-form YouTube videos per month, scaling as production increases.

  • Create motion graphics, animations, and branded video visuals.

  • Use AI tools for editing, captions, color grading, and workflow automation.

  • Contribute to podcasts, website videos, sales page content, ads, and other brand media.

  • Experiment with short-form content editing to support campaigns and collaborate with the short-form team.

  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing to advise on filming setups, video angles, lighting, and content direction.

  • Provide mentorship and training to junior editors to build a stronger, scalable creative team.

  • Build and maintain templates, AI-driven workflows, and scalable systems to improve output speed.

  • Proactively suggest new editing styles, techniques, and visual strategies to stay ahead of YouTube trends.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio of retention-focused YouTube videos.

  • Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro; strong skills in After Effects, motion graphics, and animations.

  • Proven experience editing a variety of formats: long-form, podcasts, web videos, and ads.

  • Strong understanding of YouTube algorithms, storytelling, and retention strategies.

  • Knowledge of video production best practices (gear, setups, framing, lighting).

  • Skilled in AI-powered tools for speed and quality.

  • Experience leading or mentoring other editors and managing multiple projects.

  • Highly organized, proactive communicator, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

  • Deliver top-tier long-form videos on time and optimized for retention.

  • Raise overall production quality by advising on filming setups, gear, and processes.

  • Contribute to multiple video types (podcasts, ads, site content) while maintaining YouTube as the core focus.

  • Support creative scalability by training and mentoring editors and improving workflows.

  • Drive measurable growth in audience retention, watch time, and brand authority.

  • Free Mike and leadership from editing oversight, enabling a content machine that runs independently.
