Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accurately code and record financial documents on a daily basis in compliance with company standards.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts, intercompany loans, and bank statements.
  • Ensure GST obligations are met through precise calculations and reconciliations.
  • Prepare general ledger reconciliations and maintain accuracy up to Trial Balance stage.
  • Process supplier batch payments and arrange for approval and clearance.
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts, including wages, superannuation, and PAYG.

Required Experience

  • Solid experience in accounting and bookkeeping with a strong foundation in accounting principles.
  • Previous exposure to Australian accounting practices, standards, and compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Xero is essential.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken), with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.

Ideal Candidate Qualities

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to self-review and audit work.
  • A team player with a cooperative and respectful approach.

Technical Proficiency

  • Xero (required).
  • Familiarity with software such as Dext, Hubdoc, XBert, Asana, Tanda, Employment Hero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Gmail, and Google Drive.

Preferred Experience

  • Skilled in troubleshooting and reviewing Xero files, preparing journals, and identifying discrepancies.
  • Experience in BAS preparation and payroll compliance (training provided if necessary).
