A Tax Compliance Officer ensures a company or individual adheres to all tax laws and regulations by preparing and filing tax returns, conducting internal audits, and staying updated on new legislation.

Tax return preparation: Accurately prepare and file all required tax returns, including monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.

Compliance monitoring: Continuously monitor and audit financial records to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax laws.

Record keeping: Maintain organized and complete records of all tax filings, payments, and correspondence with authorities.

Internal guidance: Advise management and other departments on tax compliance requirements and potential risks.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist with tax planning and risk mitigation strategies to minimize liabilities.
  • Handle the application and renewal of business permits and licenses.
  • Review contracts for appropriate tax provisions.
  • Train staff on proper tax compliance procedures.
