Accounting Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax filings, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare daily cash flow.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and prepare aging report.
  • Monitor and maintain output/input VAT schedule.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting supervisor/accounting assistants and provide training.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors as needed.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Must be a CPA.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of PFRS/IFRS, financial reporting and taxation/BIR rulings.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
