AWS Cloud System Administrator

Performs daily IT technical, network, and cloud administrative support to all employees.

1. Server Management:

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux-based servers.
• Monitor server performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot.
• Perform regular updates, patches, and system optimizations.
• Manage server backups and restore operations.

2. System Security:

• Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption protocols.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external security policies and standards.
• Monitor security breaches and provide incident response.

3. User Management:

• Create, modify, and delete user accounts, groups, and permissions.
• Provide access control and manage authentication services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).

4. Software Management:

• Deploy and maintain software applications and systems across the network.
• Assist with troubleshooting application issues and work with vendors for software support.
• Ensure that software is up-to-date and properly licensed.

5. Monitoring and Reporting:

• Utilize monitoring tools to track system health, performance, and usage.
• Generate reports on server uptime, system performance, and other relevant metrics.

6. Troubleshooting and Support:

• Provide technical support to end-users and resolve system-related issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and provide timely resolutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.

7. Cloud Administration (AWS / Azure):

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking resources.
• Deploy and configure cloud-based services (e.g., AWS or Azure).
• Implement and manage cloud security best practices, including IAM roles, policies, and access control.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, cost optimization, and security compliance.
• Support hybrid environments by integrating on-premises systems with cloud platforms.
• Assist with cloud migration projects, backup solutions, and disaster recovery strategies.

Network Administration

1. Network Configuration:

• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Manage LAN/WAN configurations to ensure network stability and performance.
• Assist with setting up VPNs and remote access configurations for users.

2. Network Monitoring:

• Monitor network performance to detect and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including DNS, DHCP, and routing problems.
• Maintain and update network diagrams and documentation.

3. Security and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewall configurations and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Ensure that network policies comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.

4. Collaboration with IT Teams:

• Work closely with system administrators and other IT personnel to resolve network and system issues.
• Collaborate on projects involving both network and system administration tasks.

WHAT'S EXPECTED FROM YOU:

• Proven experience as a System Administrator for 5 years.
• MUST HAVE AWS or Azure or any equivalent technology experience.
• Experience in Kubernetes or any equivalent technologies (Amazon EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other enterprise-level systems.
• Experience with networking protocols, VPNs, and network security practices.
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
