SUMMARY

The Cloud Administrator is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing company's cloud infrastructure across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. This role ensures scalable, cost-efficient, and reliable cloud environments that support business operations, application hosting, and digital transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Technology & Solutions Architect (CTSA), the Cloud Administrator plays a key role in day-to-day administration, security compliance, performance monitoring, and vendor collaboration. The role acts as a trusted cloud advisor while aligning with company's heartbeat values, client service commitments, and technology roadmap.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deploy, configure, and manage resources in AWS and Azure cloud platforms (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Azure VMs, Storage Accounts, VNets, NSGs, etc.).
  • Maintain and monitor hybrid cloud environments, including secure integration with on-premises systems.
  • Manage identity and access services, including Azure Active Directory, AWS IAM, and MFA enforcement.
  • Implement and oversee cloud security controls, encryption policies, and monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Sentinel).
  • Optimize cloud costs through monitoring, rightsizing, and license management.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, backup, replication, and recovery testing within cloud platforms.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 / Azure integrations, including Exchange Online, Intune, and compliance policies.
  • Implement and manage automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Terraform for repeatable deployments.
  • Provide escalation-level support for cloud-related incidents and outages.
  • Document configurations, incidents, and architectural changes in IT Glue or equivalent.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with cloud reporting, performance metrics, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud governance frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor junior staff in cloud best practices and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Manage cloud vendor relationships, licensing, renewals, and procurement processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in cloud administration or systems administration with focus on AWS and/or Azure.
  • Certifications strongly preferred: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and enterprise-level implementations.
  • Availability for scheduled maintenance, on-call rotations, and incident response support.
  • Strong expertise in AWS and Microsoft Azure administration and services.
  • Understanding of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CIS Benchmarks, ISO
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with M365, Azure AD, Intune, and licensing management.
  • Familiarity with networking in the cloud (VPCs, VNets, VPN, peering, firewalls).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting practices.
  • Effective communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • A continuous learning mindset and adaptability in evolving cloud technologies.
