Licensed Mechanical Design Engineer

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Monitors regularly the progress of Mechanical components of projects, in-house and outsourced in accordance with the technical specifications and project requirements, including monitoring records/ log sheets of projects received for detailed mechanical design or for preparation of relevant tender bidding documents.

2.  Check project requirements if with complete data in order to proceed with detailed mechanical design;

3.  Assists in the preparation of detailed engineering design and other technical bidding documents for CAPEX in-house and out-sourced projects in accordance with specified quality, cost and time frame and acceptability in accordance with the technical specifications and project requirements;

4. Reviewing the relevant Technical Bidding documents (Mechanical) prepared by the PM Engineer for the Wastewater Treatment Plant (Terms of Reference for EPC Consultant, Performance Specifications for Design and Build Projects).

5. Reviews monitoring records/ log sheets of RFls received by the Unit for evaluation/ recommendation within the service level agreement.

6. Assists in the accurate evaluation of technical brochures, materials and construction methodologies.

7.  Assists in the preparation of concept design, and other mechanical requirements of FEED.

8. Reviews evaluation on Construction Methodologies/ Equipment installation and Materials/equipment in accordance with Contract requirements and Maynilad standard specifications.

9.  Reviews evaluation and recommends acceptable schemes of design for completion and coordinates all Working Drawings submitted by Engineers and Contractors prior to implementation on site within the prescribed time frame, and in accordance with Maynilad Standard Drawings and Specification.

10.  Monitor, review and check in coordination with End Users the submitted Design Drawings of "Design and Build" projects by Consultants or Contractors prior to implementation on site within the prescribed time frame and in accordance with Maynilad Standard Drawings and Specification in accordance with the Service Level Agreement.

11.  Reviews technical response to Contractor and other Stakeholder's request for information (RFI)

12.  Review validation made for requests for Unit Cost Estimate (UCE) for completeness, accuracy and consistency prior to endorsement to Cost Estimate or return to Requester for compliance of requirements.

13.  Conducts investigation on site, and reviews submitted investigation report with findings, comments, evaluation and recommendation as may be required.

14.  Assists in the preparation of Service Orders in coordination with the Consultant, monitor and review the output of Consultants in accordance with specified quality, cost and time frame and acceptability as required in the contract.

15.  Reviews of update of design status of in-house and outsourced projects and prepares personnel monitoring and work allocation as per quality management system.

16.  Assists in the review of new and revised Standard Technical Specifications and Standard Drawings where necessary.

17.  Assists in the review of new and revised policies, operational procedures and work ilnstructions, where necessary.

18. Coordinate with the Consultants, as required I applicable.

19. Coordinate and prepare calendar invites to all prospective attendees who may need the knowledge transfer;

20. Check possible nominees for the training and recommend;

21.  Prepare presentations with regards to finished projects to deliberate lessons learned, and for things to praise and improve as well.

22. Does other related engineering and management tasks as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM EDUCATION

Licensed Mechanical Engineer

WORK EXPERIENCE

Must have three (3) to five (5) years of total working experience, including at least two (2) years in a related industry in an equivalent position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

•     Good in planning, organizing, implementing and control

•     Possesses analytical and technical competency related to the job

•     Excellent verbal and written communications skills

•     Familiar with international or local safety standards.

•     Knowledge in office software such as Autocad, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
