KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for local parts cost analysis and cost down activity (Cost Analysis, N100 Activity, VAVE, TVP).
  • Checks and interprets drawings, technical standards and other requirements needed to proceed with the activity.
  • Communicates with suppliers all YMPH company standards and requirements that they need to observe in delivering the required materials and/or services.
  • Purchase only from accredited suppliers and negotiates issues on cost, quality and delivery while adhering to the set company policies and procedures.
  • Controls of Molds, Dies, Jigs and packaging issued to suppliers, setting of budget in processing renewal / repair as necessary.
  • Uses of Pymac System (BOM, MRP, IC, OUR, IA module) as reference in local parts ordering, inventory checking, cost registration, payment etc.
  • Reviews issued delivery schedule, corrective action report (CAR) and other correspondences to suppliers.
  • Communicates quality and delivery concerns to local suppliers to generate immediate and corrective actions.
  • Conducts audit to suppliers to ensure compliance to standards and conducts on-site visit whenever necessary.
  • Monitors suppliers' monthly performance by strictly implementing the Supplier Monthly Performance Evaluation Report and recommends action for items fall below agreed standard.
  • Prepares payment request to Accounting for all services / activitues arranged for supplier's payments.
  • Prepares other tasks assigned by superior from time to time that is necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of any Engineering courses;
  • At least 1-year experience of Direct Material Procurement in manufacturing set-up.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and specifications;
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, etc).
  • Knowledge of procurement lifecycle and best practices.
  • Background in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM); Data Analytics and automation tools; Risk Management; Inventory Management; Sustainability & Project Management is desirable.
