Your Role
As an Inventory and Purchasing Staff, you will:

Key Responsibilities

  • General Accounting
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing reports.
  • Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory transactions, adjustments, and valuations.
  • Reconcile physical stock with system balances on a regular basis.
  • Track cost of goods sold (COGS) and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate with warehouse/logistics for cycle counts and stock audits.
  • Purchasing & Vendor Management
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments.
  • Verify vendor contracts, pricing, and terms for accuracy.
  • Maintain vendor records and reconcile statements of account.
  • Support procurement team with financial analysis of supplier performance.
  • QuickBooks System
  • Enter and maintain transactions in QuickBooks (AP, AR, inventory, payroll if applicable).
  • Generate and analyze QuickBooks reports for management.
  • Implement process improvements for efficiency in QuickBooks workflows.
  • Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure proper internal controls are in place for inventory and purchasing cycles.
  • Assist with external audits and provide required documentation.
  • Comply with company policies, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting, with emphasis on inventory and purchasing.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and inventory costing methods (FIFO, weighted average, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
