The Cost Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and buildable cost estimates for signage and printnig projects. The role bridges design intent, construction drawings, materials, and execution reality, ensuring projects are priced correctly while protecting company margins.

This role directly impacts profitability, risk management, and project success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Cost Estimation & Pricing

  2. Prepare detailed cost estimates for signage projects based on drawings, BOQs, and specifications

  3. Conduct quantity take-offs for materials, fabrication, installation, and logistics
  4. Price signage types including facade signs, wayfinding systems, illuminated signs, and custom features

  5. Develop cost breakdowns aligned with company pricing standards

  6. Drawing & Scope Review

  7. Review design and construction drawings for completeness and buildability

  8. Identify scope gaps, ambiguities, and risks during estimation
  9. Coordinate with design and project teams for clarifications

  10. Ensure estimates reflect approved scope and execution requirements

  11. Supplier & Cost Data Management

  12. Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations

  13. Maintain updated material, labor, and equipment cost databases

  14. Track market price fluctuations and advise management accordingly

  15. Risk & Margin Control

  16. Identify cost risks and include appropriate allowances

  17. Apply overheads, contingencies, and margin targets as per company policy

  18. Flag underpriced or high-risk scopes before proposal submission

  19. Tender & Proposal Support

  20. Support sales and project teams during tender and negotiation stages

  21. Prepare alternative pricing options and value-engineering proposals

  22. Participate in post-bid clarifications with clients or consultants

  23. Post-Award Cost Support

  24. Assist in budget handover to Project Managers

  25. Support variation pricing and cost control during project execution
  26. Review actual vs estimated costs for continuous improvement

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

  • Estimate accuracy vs actual project cost
  • Proposal win rate (pricing competitiveness)
  • Turnaround time for estimates
  • Margin achievement per project
  • Number of estimation-related variations or reworks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
