JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Cost Estimator with strong exposure to MECHANICAL WORKS and AIRCONDITIONING INSTALLATION. The role covers both pre-construction cost estimation and active site management during project execution. This position is critical for mechanical, HVAC, and VRF projects where accurate costing and proper on-site implementation are equally important.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cost Estimation – Mechanical & Air Conditioning Works

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and pricing breakdowns for mechanical and air conditioning systems

  • Estimate costs for VRF systems, split-type units, ducting, piping, insulation, controls, and accessories

  • Develop project budgets and cost plans for mechanical and HVAC works

  • Analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs specific to air conditioning installation

  • Assist in tender submissions, proposals, and bid clarifications for mechanical packages

  • Review supplier and subcontractor quotations related to HVAC and mechanical works

  • Support value engineering and cost optimization for air conditioning systems

  • Update cost estimates based on design changes, site conditions, and client requirements

Site Management & Coordination – Mechanical / HVAC

  • Oversee day-to-day site activities related to mechanical works and air conditioning installation

  • Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, HVAC technicians, subcontractors, and suppliers

  • Monitor project schedule, manpower deployment, and delivery of HVAC materials and equipment

  • Ensure installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards

  • Conduct site inspections for airconditioning and mechanical works and submit progress reports

  • Coordinate closely with HVAC / VRF teams to ensure proper sequencing and installation methodology

  • Assist in resolving site issues, clashes, discrepancies, and coordination conflicts with other trades

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

  • Minimum 2–5 years experience in cost estimation or site engineering for mechanical and airconditioning works

  • Proven experience in HVAC / VRF / mechanical installation projects is REQUIRED

  • Knowledgeable in mechanical drawings, HVAC layouts, and airconditioning installation methods

  • Able to handle both office-based cost estimation and on-site mechanical supervision

  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word

  • Strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in VRF, chilled water, or large-scale air conditioning systems

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, architectural, and MEP drawings

  • Basic knowledge of site supervision, testing, and commissioning

  • Strong attention to detail and cost accuracy
