POSITION

Production Supervisor I (Shift Leader)

ABOUT THE JOB

The Production Supervisor I will oversee day-to-day operations in the production facility, ensuring adherence to production plans and schedules, supervising teams to maintain efficiency and product quality, and coordinating with various departments to meet organizational goals. This role also includes ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting the training and development of production staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Monitoring

• Supervises operations of equipment and personnel to meet company's operational standards and metrics (ex. cost, efficiency, timeliness, compliance, quality)
• Ensures production area, tools, and equipment are clean, orderly, and maintained in good working condition (ex. calibrated, safe for use).
• Proactively recommends improvements for the department's processes, equipment, and facilities and oversees implentation when applicable.

People Management

• Guides and supports Production Staff with their tasks
• Relays instructions from the Production Manager to the team.
• Reminds Production Staff about discipline, safety, hygiene, and proper work practices.

Quality & Safety

• Monitors production quantity and quality to ensure they are within company standards.
• Ensures that Production Staff comply with the company's health, safety and environmental procedures and standards.
• Identifies and raises concerns, issues and risks and proactively recommends solutions to mitigate these.

Documentation & Reporting

• Ensures on time, complete, and accurate submission of routine or ad hoc production reports or forms (ex. daily monitoring sheets, incident reports).
• Submits reports to Production Manager as required.
• Maintains inventory of production equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Prepares purchase requisition for department's supplies.
• Ensures department files responsible for are updated and kept in accordance with company procedures and access is secured.

Coordination

• Coordinate with other departments for operational needs (ex. preventive maintenance, malfunctions/repairs, incidents, replenishment of supplies).
• Assists and collaborates with other departments in investigating and correcting production related issues.

Support to Production Manager

• Acts as second-in-command when the Production Manager is not present.
• Helps in decision-making based on company rules and SOPs.
• Prepares and upon approval implements the shift schedule.
• Assists in gathering production data as requested (ex. time trials, yield, rejection/waste rate, etc.)
• Assists in monitoring and evaluating Production Staff performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Management, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology or related courses.
• Experience in the following will be an advantage: operations experience in a food manufacturing facility; Quality Management Systems (ex. GMP, HACCP); ERP systems.
• Has good communication, leadership, organization, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Willing to work in Bagumbayan (Bicutan) – Taguig City.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules.
